Work putting us a risk

The company I work for have supplied us all with phones and laptops and all the right things we need to work from home.

Yet we are still being told to go into the office, there have a been a few exceptions, for example one guys wife is a nurse so he can work from home and one others guys mum is at risk and so he can also work from home.

My husband and daughter have cold and cough I told work I'd need to self isolate for 14 days to be on the safe side following government advice and they said as long as I feel fine to come in.

I don't understand, when the government is saying work from home and we are all capable and of doing so, why they are making us go in?

Is there anything I can do?

There is nothing that you can do the government didn't say that people must work from home if theu can (and I doubt they will say that). Too many businesses are taking advantages of this.

We can wfh and I currently am but there are lots and lots of teams across my organisation being forced to go into the office (and we all work for the government!).

Don't go in, you are right and should self isolate for 14 days. These work situations are endangering people's lives. It's awful.

Sorry bold fail!

Stick by your guns and tell them you will be isolating.
