I work in retail, and everybody is worried sick about being sacked

Yes, laid off on Wednesday. Self-isolating, so not prospect of being able to get work any time soon. If anyone has any ideas/contacts for homeworking, would be good to hear them!

Mum and friend have both been made redundant after 15 plus years in their jobs, admin roles.

They seem positive about it but it just makes me so sad

DP did - was made redundant and never brought back from furlough. Luckily saw it coming and started a new job this week.

No but I'd say there's a 50:50 chance in the next 12 months. It really depends how business recovers.

I know a lot of my old clothing retail colleagues have lost jobs. The chain closed a few stores and made numerous staff redundant.

I don't know anyone who's lost their job. Yet. That's not to say it's not coming.
