I've just had a temp on and off for 3 days, max 38.3 but never felt unwell with it. Husband is now feeling a bit off with a tight chest but no temp. We're in isolation but don't know if we have CV or not

This is the problem with the guidance.
Even if you had a severe dry cough, you would not know for certain if it was coronavirus.
What if you go out a few weeks later get another dry cough and wrongly assume it isn't, and spread it around.
Another thing to consider is the hypochondriac factor. If the symptoms started with something else like an itch toe or something, how many ofus would get an itchy toe or think we did.
The government advice is so flawed it is dangerous.

This sounds like me. I have an occasional dry cough and a tight chest on and off. But I do have asthma so it just feels like that’s a bit worse than usual. Slightly fuzzy head but haven’t slept all week due to anxiety and a mental week at work so could be fatigue. No temp so I don’t know whether we should self isolate or not. After we get the kids from school today we don’t really have plans to see anyone though and will be working from home so maybe we do that for two weeks and see how we go.

I had a mild temp last weekend which paracetamol brought down, bit of a bad throat, have a real chesty cough, and when it starts I can’t stop, I have coughed up some phlegm this morning, No runny nose, just feels like all on my chest, thought I would start to feel better but unable to shake off. Have been self isolating all week as are DH & DC. Would love to get a test.

I got home on wednesday and developed a sore throat, which develped into a cough. I felt really tight chested on thursday. Dh on the other hand had exactly the same symptom of sore throat and persistent cough but no tight chest but complained of dizziness. Hubby then came down with a fever last night. Between us we had all the symtoms. DC 8 and 5 had no symptoms. Feeling weak now, and a little out of breath. There is no way of knowing but ive never felt ill like that before. If i had u derlying conditions i would have been in hospital for sure. Currently in self isolation
