2 yo DD had fever of 39 for a couple of nights, cough and cold symptoms. We phoned GP surgery first thing and a GP phoned us back. Obviously we couldn’t go in but we picked up a prescription for antibiotics in case it was bacterial.

Advised to phone 111 but recorded message said not to bother if not severe symptoms!

She’s on the mend now but it was scary. I kept an eye on her, gave her Calpol and tried to keep fluids up. Also check for any rashes or a stiff neck.

We also had to self isolate the household due to her symptoms.
