Both me and ds1 woke up with coughs Monday. I have a tight chest, sone breathlessness (mist noticeable when talking normally on the phone, or after carrying ds2 upstairs) we we are SI. The guidance on Monday was 7 days.

Now it's 7 days if you live alone, or 14 if you live with others.

Ds2 has had a temperature for 2 days, ok again now.

The guidance says if you live with someone who has symptoms you should do for 14 .

But I'm the one who showed symptoms Monday along with DS.

Also, do I need a Drs note for work?

If everyone in your household has had symptoms then it's only 7 days from day 1 of symptoms. The 14 days are for those who haven't had symptoms to give them time to come out in symptoms.

7 days is for those with symptoms. 14 days is for those without symptoms as that's the incubation period

You can self certify for 7 days without a fit note required

It's 7 days for anyone with symptoms or 14 days if symptom free. The kids need to self isolate for 7 days after they got symptoms

Ah thank you. 7 days then.
