Working from home and school closures.

Sorry if there has already been a thread on this, I couldn't find it.

They are advising that schools could be closed until September.

Are single parents expecting to be able to work from home for the duration? A few weeks considering the circumstances I was OK with, but 6 months?

Are we supposed to educate our children at the same time?

I just don't know how it is going to work at all. What is everyone else planning to do to get around this?

My kids' school (primary) has sent out really detailed guidance about how the school will be structured for e-learning. I have NO idea how I'm going to monitor this across three different year groups and still work.

I am in exact the same situation. 3 children plus my job, we don't have 4 separate laptops for a start. DS needs a lot of support for learning, his attention span and frustration levels are difficult.

I don't know how this will work.

I have decided to not stress about learning. We'll do what we can but it's more important we're solvent for now as both DH and I are self employed

I feel awful but I think YouTube is going to feature heavily. I just don't know how else I will get any work done. Which for a week or so is OK but seriously for months on end is awful.

I am thinking if I start early and let the DC have a lie in. Then tell them learning starts at 10.30 and they just have to get on with it as much as possible?

Thats if my employer even agrees to it long term. They haven't yet confirmed their stance.
