Just that really. I’m really hoping it’s just a normal cold and I’m over reacting but have pulled older DD out of school and DH has rang in sick. He’s a teacher so feeling pretty shit about him not being able to go in but if it were corona I’d never forgive myself!

Anyone else have babies with symptoms?

You have done the correct thing. It may not be Coronavirus but you don’t know. You are stopping the spread of a virus that will overwhelm the health service if we don’t all do our bit. Hope he feels well soon.
I’m a nanny, my employers are self isolating for similar reason. So I’m off for 14 days too. It feels strange.

Does he have a fever?

puds11 · 19/03/2020 09:35

No fever yet. She seems fine in herself, just coughing and it’s quite a hacking cough.

Doesn’t matter if there’s a temperature, you’re all off for at least 14 days now. Fingers crossed it’s nothing serious but self isolation for all of you.

You’re doing the correct thing

puds11 · 19/03/2020 10:15

Thanks all. We will be keeping to ourselves for the next 14 days!

Yes, still have to self isolate.
I was more curious about whether a fever because 8mos Is within age for child development of asthma. Coughing with no fever is one symptom. It lasting for more than 3 weeks another. Coughing worsening at night another. I know your DD doesn’t meet this list yet and maybe will not ever.

But just wanted to list that for your awareness to monitor going forward because two of my children developed asthma one diagnosed aged 6mos and the other diagnosed at 13mos.

Thank you @PlanDeRaccordement It does seem to be worse at night and early morning. She’s barely coughed since 10ish. I’ll keep an eye on that too.
