Anyone else feeling guilty about deliveries?

We ordered a load of stuff for our house - moved in around Christmas - for the garden etc that is all arriving now or in the next few days.
It means we’ve been getting loads of big deliveries as well as things from amazon to go with them - accessories/fittings etc.
But it’s making me feel really guilty and frivolous considering the current situation. People are struggling to get food and we are merrily taking delivery of a harden furniture set. I know it’s not compatible but I’m almost embarrassed when the delivery men show up and a bit twitchy Incase neighbours just see the delivery and think we are hoarding food!

DH thinks I’m being ridiculous and I probably am by these are strange worrying times so strange overreactions is probably par for the course!

Hope everyone is getting on ok

No good to anyone if the economy shuts down.

For one, the delivery van will look totally different so won't be mistaken as food! Honestly, life goes on and you still need your garden furniture, etc. You're supporting the economy by buying things! People can't eat furniture as far as I'm aware, so no need to feel guilty.

You're keeping someone in a job . Don't dwell on it

That’s true I didn’t think of it like that. Just felt like I was being flash in a time where people are already in crisis!
