Do think the gov may have got some things right?

Of course there are lots of things to criticise them for but I can see why they didn't close the schools earlier. By keeping them open they have facilitated lots of people working & carrying on with their regular routines. I think they wanted to keep going till Easter but staff shortages have made that impossible.
I work short days & my 2 kids are still in school. Everyday this week the park, coffee shops, streets have got a lot busier that usual. Once the schools are closed & some parents have to stop working or change their pattern to facilitate this a lockdown to prevent further social mixing is surely inevitable? I don't think there would have been the appetite for this 2 weeks ago & behaviourally you have to want people to do it.

I agree. Too many people aren't social distancing. They think it's fine to go out as the 'kids can't be caged in'.

I can't believe how many people are idiots - and totally selfish.

Isn't it a shame that having been given advice on how to behave, people are doing their own thing, which will result in us all being given rules. That's the way it has to go though.
