Anyone else fancy keeping each other company?

A place to bitch about mundane shit whilst accepting we are the lucky ones and it could be far, far worse?

Yep, I have a 5yr old who is wonderful, bright, the absolute light of my life. However I think relationships will become strained when she's saying "mummy" for the 8,973,789th time while I try to manage a conference call and answer emails and Skype messages.

I've just cleared down an old laptop removing as much as possible, getting rid of all shortcuts except google and whitelisting a selection of websites I'm happy for her to use.

I've got the curriculum printed for the rest of this year, resources printed off of Twinkl, an exercise book and wallet for each subject as well as a box of crafty bits.

We've talked to her today about how even though she won't be at school she still needs to do school work so while mummy and daddy are working she will need to do school.

That the school day will be shorter and we will do more play and fun time and we'll set up some video calls with her friends but that it's important we do work so we need her to help us do that.

She thinks it sounds like lots of fun, so I'm not sure she really gets it.

Yeap. I've got two DDS - 7.5 and 5. Single parent. Work full-time. Have no idea if the nanny can get to us in lockdown, assuming not.

Yeah it’s not happening. We both going to be wfh, with 3 kids and one with SN. They need to play outside and run around the garden 80 billion times so we can work.

Fuck spelling tests and times tables they need some enjoyment in these strange times. Mine are 7, 6, and 4 so plenty of time to catch up when this is all over.
