What happens if you are self isolating & have a genuine need to go to A&E for an xray or similar, following an accident? What is the protocol for this?

Phone first? No idea who, maybe 111 or something? I wouldnt just turn up, similarly people need to go in if they need to. It's a question worth asking to be honest.

I would phone A&e to ask them. Perhaps they could put you in a separate area if you inform them before you go.

Phone 111. A&E will need advanced warning that you're coming so they can isolate And protect the staff/ other patients when you go...

Still none the wiser, I rang a&e & was put on hold, then cut off! Tried 111 but was on hold for ages, it's not life or death so I'll leave it another few days, if it still hurts after isolation ends I'll go along to a&e (just a wrist injury!)

In my area they aren’t letting people into a&e unless you’ve been referred by your gp or 111.
