Supermarkets with delivery slots?
SparklesAllOver · 18/03/2020 16:49
In isolation as of today for 14 days as DH v poorly with dreaded c virus symptons. Have tried Morrisons - web problems and Tesco - no delivery slots and I have checked up to 7th April!! I have never had online grocery shopping and now worried that I won't be able to get any. Does anyone know any supermarkets who are reliable and still have slots within the next week?
iwanttoshakesomeppl · 18/03/2020 16:52
Someone mentioned Iceland as all the big supermarkets seem to be fully booked!
Smithtylater · 18/03/2020 16:54
Iceland have slots. They have helpful drivers and quite a good range of items.

Thank you, but is that not mainly frozen food? I only have a small freezer.

Just been on Iceland website, fully booked in my area.

I had an asda order due today, which I'd put in the online basket 2 weeks ago. Got emails yesterday saying I could amend/add more if needed.
Today I went to check where the order was, and it just said 'cancelled'. No email, no text or anything to inform me otherwise!!! I realise this is unprecedented, but how are vulnerable and those self-isolating supposed to get food?

Morrisons had some available for the end of March but everywhere else there was none.

Some may have click and collect. If you can drive it may not really be different to a delivery driver bringing the stuff to your door. Check the websites of whichever supermarket you could get to. ( obviously no use if you can't drive or aren't well enough yourself to do so).
Hope your DH starts getting better soon and you're ok.

Thanks all. We won't starve, I have enough to get us through isolation, just no bread or fresh fruit and veg. A friend has offered to try to get some bits for me if there is anything left on the shelves.
