Some woman’s lives are now at higher risk with isolation.

Tbh not really a surprise. Also those who are escaping dv and are in insecure accommodation will suffer.

But just about everything I have heard about coping in isolation focuses on 'getting friends and family to help. and doing 'craft activities'. Not the reality for a lot of people.

Very sad reading reading this. Makes sense it would happen. I hope refuges stay open and people get the help the help they need.

I was saying this on a thread yesterday.

Increase in DV
Increase in dog attacks due to unwalked dogs in close proximity with house-bound kids
Increase in abuse

Sad

No doubt there will be a negative impact on people’s MH due to collapsing economy (redundancy, debt) as much as health anxiety around the virus and social isolation, change in routine etc which might up the suicide rate as well. Horrific.
