For the essential shops what should we be doing?
I have been wearing gloves and using antiviral spray between customers but I'm the only one in the shop to do so!
No one else is taking it seriously.
What should retail workers be doing?
We sell pet food and I hope we can convert to a drive thru type business instead so people open their boots and we drop the food in. People on foot can ring us up, pay and then we leave the produce out for them to collect. No contact. They pay over the phone or online. That's what I want to happen but currently I have no idea what will happen.
I'm very aware that I'm getting very exposed right now. I served 600 people on Saturday alone.
It's very worrying.
