I can’t find anywhere, to get advice on specific questions.

I cleaned a lady’s house last Wednesday, wearing gloves and washing hands regularly. She was in but she kept at a distance. Today she is showing all the symptoms but without testing we don’t know if she has it or not. I know the day after she had a friend to stay and went out to a bar with her boyfriend who lives elsewhere.

I don’t have any symptoms. Do I need to isolate from my family now?

The next question is my son returning from university today. Dh has gone to get him in the car so do I need to keep him in his room for a week before returning to normal? He has no symptoms and looked really well the last time I saw him at the weekend.

Hope some people can advise. Thank you!

Current advice is you don’t need to isolate until you or a member of your household shows symptoms (cough or fever).

If and when one of you shows symptoms then you all need to isolate. The one with the symptoms for 7 days, the ones without for 14 days.

As regards your son, personally I would only isolate him if one if you is vulnerable eg underlying health conditions or elderly. If you do isolate him, it needs to be for 14 days really as that’s how long it can take to show up.

Thanks, it’s a relief to get some advice finally!
My daughter has asthma but it’s mild. Might have to keep ds in his room for a while!
