Is anyone else worried about the press conferences?

I think a daily address is necessary but in a crowded room?

Love him or loathe him, the last thing the country needs is a medical emergency involving the PM

Yes I was thinking about this yesterday, seems like an unnecessary gathering when everyone could just do it as a video conference instead.

I hadn't even thought of that but yeah, video seems the way forward

Good point. Especially with a pregnant fiancé. Maybe the lectern needs to be way back and meeting in a big well ventilated room. No one needs close contact at this time

Personally, I feel the PM, along with other Government ministers, has no choice other than to be seen on the ‘front line’. They would otherwise suffer (rightly or wrongly) extreme criticism from the British public if they were to work from behind closed doors. Journalists go into war zones and other dangerous territories. I guess this is no different.
