Online shopping

I have just revised and added to my Morrisons online shop for tomorrow morning (booked 2 weeks ago). Does anyone have experience as to whether the supermarket deliveries actually fail to deliver some or a significant amount of the shop booked? I might phone them now to check what they might not deliver but I just wondered whether anyone has any experience of not receiving some or a significant part of what they ordered at the moment?

From my experience with other supermarkets, not sure about Morrisons but they can only deliver what they have available in-store. The likelihood of you getting all of your order is slim to none. It doesn't matter when you booked the slot the order isnt processed until day of delivery.

I had an order from Tesco yesterday and to be fair to them, I got most things (including eggs!). The only thing they couldn't give me were chicken breasts. There were a lot of substitutions but they were sensible ones (like a extra special potatoes instead of Tesco own). From experience with Morrisons in the past, they used to substitute as much as they could before not giving it to you. You should be able to check your order just before delivery to see what you have.

Morrisons and ocado have better chances because they deliver from a warehouse rather than picking from a store.

im still waiting on the phone to Morrisons they have not answered yet and ive been on for 20 minutes
I really want to talk to them because if they say we cannot deliver this to you I need to crack on into the local town to buy stuff and the sooner I know this the better. Its annoying as I have cancer and Id prefer not to go out if I can but if morrisons don't answer how do I know what I will get tomorrow (or not get) ….

Morrisons are fulfilled by Ocado from a live stock-checked warehouse, not picked from a store, so they should in theory be able to deliver what they’ve promised. Don’t go into town.

I had an ASDA deliver yesterday, just a normal shop, nothing excessive and not even any of the items people are panic buying.

About 50% of what I ordered didn’t turn up.

AndromedaPerseus · 18/03/2020 09:27

My normal Asda online delivery due yesterday at 6pm was cancelled at 11am and automatically rebooked for delivery next Tuesday. No explanation given however I did impress on my dcs not to waste food as they look forward to their treats coming on a Tuesday night Smile

Just got an order last night from Ocado. They use the same infrastructure/fulfilment system as Morrison's.

A lot of things were out of stock on the website. But of all the things I ordered that were in stock (£200 worth) we only had 1 missing item and 2 substitutions.
