My son is 16. Came home from school so upset. He said school was awful. No teachers so everyone was together and he learnt nothing. Idiots coughing in his face. The boy next to him was sent home an hour later.
He is worried about his exams. Worried he will get sick. Worried about his friends who are sick.
He has done nothing but worry all done.

We got an email from the school saying they are running out of teachers.

How long will this nonsense go on for. I understand about essential workers and the children who need help. I just hope Boris has a plan that is better than this. As this is lunacy.

Keep him off and teach him the difference between things he can control and things he can't. Lead by example in not worrying about the things you can't control. Odds are they'll just accept predicted grades for GCSE anyway.

The headspace meditation app has free content for those affected. I'd recommend getting him to try some of the calming sessions.
