How would I know?

I've been poorly since Saturday, initially with a cough/ symptoms related to a preexisting health condition and since Sunday with a fever. I saw a doctor on Saturday who agreed it was my health condition making me ill and not to self isolate.... Then I got the temp and my family and I have stayed home ever since.

I'm around 38- 38.6 degrees, some slight coughing and sore chest but nothing worse than a usual chest infection or bad chest episode would be for me. I've been shaky on and off and have woken up in the night with a lot sweating from fever. I've felt tired and had a slight headache.

I came into contact with someone who has covid 19 last week for just a few minutes and had a conversation with them. At the time they had no symptoms.

My trouble is that I'm in the at risk categories and could be required to self isolate, however, my job is one that I can't do from home and is likely to be useful in the coming months. As long as my breathing stays OK I don't expect I'll be tested. But if I'm immune I can be useful. How do I know? DH is pretty confident I've got it, I'm not so sure.
