Dh has been ill for 10 days now and seems to be getting worse every day

He’s just coughing lots and has a temp.

But he doesn’t seem to be getting better. His cough sounds awful.

What shall I do?

Is he short of breath?

Is he taking paracetamol?

Have you looked at NHS website/latest government advice? I think it said if symptoms worsen after a week (please check) then you should seek medical advice. Does he seem ok in himself despite the horrible cough and temperature? Is he eating and drinking?

He seems to struggle to catch his breath, especially after a coughing fit. He’s been taking cold and flu stuff but obviously isn’t doing much.

He said he feels like he’s got the flu

He says he can’t taste anything so isn’t eating much😂

Advice from 111 is that if symptoms worsen after 7 days, then advice should be sought.

I do think your DH should call up. 10 days is a long time. Does he have any other conditions that out him at risk?

Altho it’s a very long wait.

Is his respiration rate OK? Is he using his shoulders or stomach muscles to breathe?
