My partner is in the emergency services and has been put forward to deal with people who have possible COVID or have came into contact with someone with it. He will be given masks gloves protective clothing etc and not getting too close. However where does this leave us? We have three small children and my mum is our childcare. She is in her 60s isn’t in the risk groups but we all as a family have put some social distancing in place as much as possible. Do I stop visiting my mum because of partners role- he def won’t be visiting but we are unsure about me and the kids

This is probably something he needs to ask his employer about, there will be guidance for staff and their families (hopefully)

That’s what I thought too but he seems very blasé about it
