I have grandparents who I love desperately and am really missing but I also have a 1 year old and work in a ‘key person’ role so have been avoiding them. How long do they have to isolate for? My grandad is in really bad health and I’m terrified he might die before we get to see him again DS is their only great grandchild and my grandad loves him so much it would kill to think they might never see each other again.

I’m really struggling tonight. Putting DS to bed crying because the thought of having to isolate is honestly frightening, my mental health wouldn’t take it and not being able to see my own family, with Mother’s Day coming up, I’m just not managing. We’re not showing symptoms yet but this just isn’t letting up.
