Test results

Quick question, if anyone knows the answer.

My DD11 was badly ill before the weekend (sore throat, fever, chest pain) and ended up being tested (nasal and throat swaps) for the virus on Friday 13th March at our local hospital. She was assessed there on 999 advice, but was allowed home later that day, obviously in isolation.

I think the testing would have been done by NHS Colindale, but may possibly have been Southampton.

Does anyone know how the results reach us? We were told 48 hours, and guided that we needed to contact GP surgery for results, but the GP doesn't appear to have received anything.

She is on the mend, but the school want to know the results, as they know she was tested.

She was a lot better yesterday (Monday) but has gone a bit downhill today again,

My friend was tested on Thursday. Got the results last night. Her DH kept ringing the hospital (at their suggestion) and the hospital phoned them back yesterday evening when they got the results.

What was the result Cheshire ? And how are they?

Yes I think we need to try the hospital. Will do so tomorrow.

If we are a day after your friend, then hopefully they may have them by now.

Hope your friend is ok.
