Should we be isolating?

ExH is self isolating with symptoms
DS has no symptoms but stayed there on Friday night.
My temp has been fluctuating from normalish 37.5 to slightly raised at 38.3 today

I work in an essential service and I don’t want to isolate unless absolutely necessary but of course I don’t want to put anyone at risk!

Yes you have a temperature, so please isolate for 7 days.

DS needs to isolate for 14 days from today (assuming he comes back to you) or 7 days from onset of new symptoms.

peachypetite · 17/03/2020 17:35

Of course you should be.

So does my whole house need to do 14 days or me (with symptoms) for 7 and my husband and son symptomless 14?!

If you have to ask, you need to self isolate.

You should all isolate for 14 days.

Yes. There's nothing essential about spreading a deadly virus.
While household for 14 days, in case others come down with it. Each individual with symptoms 7 days.

Fucking hell 🤦‍♀️

WhenYouveAFirstInEnglish · 17/03/2020 17:41

Exactly Mooey. You for 7 from you onset of symptoms. If your temp persists after that seek advice. Your family for 14 days from the onset of your symptoms or 7 days from the onset of their own symptoms. Obviously seek help if you become very unwell.

Mooey89 · 17/03/2020 17:48

What’s the fucking hell for?! It’s all hands to the pump emergency at work I’m genuinely asking advice! We will be isolating, I wanted to check because my mum told me it was my anxiety talking and my temperature is .1 degree from normal so I’m overreacting!

38.3 is a pretty high temp for an adult.
