What jobs will you do if you're isolated. Let's list the jobs we normally put off.

For me
Go through wedding pics. Been married since summer and haven't even looked at them all let alone order them

Update kids record books.. Milestones, handprints etc.

Jet wash the patio and front garden

Strip bedroom paper and prep for new paper.

Clean car out.. Its disgusting from tip runs and DIY store runs. But can't do when home alone with newborn and toddler.

Sort loft and garage.

I finally dusted off my sewing machine and overlocker and made a hoodie for my DD.

This weekend I will make her a dress. I am a bit of a fabric hoarder so I can keep going for a good while!

Paint the fence and shed
Give all the woodwork in the house a once over
Big clear out of wardrobes and toys

Sort out the loft. So much unnecessary clutter up there, paperwork, hobby stuff, Christmas decorations and many many books....
Various little DIY projects such as fixing coat hooks, broken tiles, re-grouting etc

Oh I need to paint fence too. Got the paint etc already.

Wardrobes recently done.. Toys recently done. Need ideas. As will make. Most of dh being here to either do the jobs or entertain the kids whilst I crack on. ( much prefer that idea)

Sort out my wardrobe (clothes and shoes)
Vacuum every inch of my home
Wet wipe down all the paintwork
Polish all the bathroom tiles
Clean all the windows internally
Continue with loft sort out

Clean the fridge.. organise kitchen cupboards.. deep clean every room in preparation for baby!

Easter holidays will be massive clear out and decorating. But, will be around two others working from home.

Valet the car
Hose out the wheelie bin
Label school uniform
Clean the oven

Where will we take clutter to, though?

Charity shops aren't going to be open, are they?

Council dumps?

I'd love to get organised, even started, am now wondering where to take my newest pile of clutter to.

If it comes to it I will have two weeks to...

Brush up on my musical instrument practice
Remove the ugly stickers from the internal windows (door windows) and paint under it in my home
Remove the wallpaper and paint the feature wall in my front room
Sand and paint kitchen cupboards
Marie Kondo everything and put ALL the laundry away
Read all the books I have piled and waiting
Continue writing my own book

I also have a fridge of doom @Smilethoyourheartisbreaking.... still avoiding that one!

paint the summer house, plant some flowers, go running with my dogs and on long walks to explore the rural areas where i avoid usually as i like to see people on my walks.

batch cook, bake bread, teach the kids how to apply make up (we'll learn from you tube together)

Wekk I'm in Italy so have already sorted out our sock drawers, pruned out apple tree, sorted out bags of clothes to give to charity and reorganized the 'drawer of random crap'. Still need to sort out the garage, reseal the shower and chuck out various bits if stuff from the freezer that we are never going to eat.

Slob out, sleep, read, watch films, have long deep baths, repot some house plants and Mumsnet

Paint some bits in the garden, I’ve bought some plants and seeds from the garden centre.
It needs a real tidy up that I’m putting off so I can do it in lockdown.

Get the carpet shampooer out.
Bit of painting

Painted the furniture I’ve been planning to do for months. Re arranged the front room twice..bagged up old clothes..re sealed the bath.
I’ve been very productive but I’m extremely bored. If I could relax and watch Netflix I would but both dc now at home all day every day.

My actual job. Unless I am ill I will have to wfh for normal hours during any self isolation.

If this wasn't the case I would paint the kitchen and clear out the 'cupboard of many things'

Realistically

• sort sock drawer
• tidy and maybe iron scarfs

Ought to: sort photographs into virtual albums and set up an automatic back up system for them across all my stashes of printed and virtual pictures.

Declutter generally and paint all of our internal doors/skirting boards etc. Also my husband has promised to teach me to play backgammon :)

I have already

• cleared the laundry basket

-cleaned out the washing machine

• sorted the boot room
• cleaned the walk in wardrobe including my make up area
• disinfected the whole house

-sorted the pantry and cleaned out the fridge

• cleaned out the car

Still have to

• clear out a patch of the garden for a hen house
• cut the grass
• put up some shelving in the garage

But to be honest I’m doing one thing a day as I’m thoroughly enjoying being home as a whole family with absolutely NO WHERE to HAVE to go! Bliss!!

Garden garden garden though. Got loads of seeds etc to plant. I'm retreating to my safe space 😬
