So my DD has just had an email from her college saying as she has a health issue she is allowed to stay at home from college. My question is does that mean she (and others in my household) have to self isolate?

No, I understood people with such a condition or pregnant should stay at home for 12 weeks.

It's to protect that person, not the community.

It's unclear. It's one of the problem areas

The biggest transmission is within the household, so if you have a vulnerable person in the household , are they truely safe if anyone else could easily get it ?

Options would either be the whole household isolates or you have strict social distancing within the house...separate loo if possible, 2 meter distance at all times etc

We've had the same message from school as both DCs have Asthma, although I'd already kept them home since Monday (due to DHs very serious health condition) anyway. Recommendation inyour DDs situation is social distancing not self-isolation.

Thank you for the replies. It's just so unclear. I'm going to obviously keep her home from college and limit going out etc
