My mum is coming up for 70 but has also had lung problems so is isolating herself.

I have dc who this morning came out with a temperature so now I'm isolating too.

What can I buy her online to be sent? It was literally on my list to go buy the cards today (to send by post) and now I can't even do that.

I'm sure she'd be saying to take her out when this is all over, if I asked her, but I wanted her to at least have something on the day.

What are you doing?

RosieProbert · 17/03/2020 16:12

I've ordered a beautiful print for my mother from just nessie I think it's called. An ad came on my insta. It's a print of a bouquet of all our birth flowers and it's lovely x

Thanks. I will be tracking all suggestions and sorting it tonight when the dc are in bed as the dc are now taking up all the bloody internet. It's going to be a long ass two weeks.

I've sent some dvds and jigsaw puzzles via Amazon to try to make her stay put!

Lots of lovely stuff on not on the Highstreet.com

Michelleoftheresistance · 17/03/2020 16:19

Mine loves her garden and will miss not going to the garden centre shortly to choose plants, so a pack of mixed bedding plants from Amazon.

hoolydooly · 17/03/2020 16:21

@RosieProbert Thanks for that idea. It's lovely! Just ordered one for my mum.

fairydustandpixies · 17/03/2020 16:22

I've ordered mine some cashmere bed socks from Not On The High Street. You can get them gift wrapped and sent direct to your mum.

RosieProbert · 17/03/2020 16:29

@hoolydooly it's beautiful isn't it

hoolydooly · 17/03/2020 16:31

@RosieProbert Perfect! I have been struggling for ideas for weeks and this ticks the box beautifully!

My mum loves Bloom and Wild letterbox flowers. If any of us ask her what she’d like for a present she always says these because it’s something she’d never order herself.

What about a magazine subscription?
