I have elderly relatives there despite living in the UK. I know lockdown has started. I just wondered what it was like over there, how much support elderly are getting and their view of the UK.

Hi! I'm in Berlin. I can't say I know much about how the elderly are being treated, but at least here there is not really much of a lockdown. The schools are shut and people are working from home but the shops are mostly still open, there's plenty of food available.

I know in a lot of places they are organising neighbourhood groups to check on elderly residents. We are checking on some of our neighbours.

The situation varies greatly depending on where you are though. But so far, it seems a bit more like the UK here than northern Italy or France.

I hope your relatives are okay!
