Should I self isolate?

I know you aren’t my GP, or 111, or the government. But I’m finding the information that I can find confusing.
I had a really bad cold for about two weeks, coughing and spluttering everywhere and runny nose etc. Stayed in work the whole time but a couple in my office were off with it because it was quite bad. Been okay now since last Tuesday, still a bit kore phlegm than usual in the mornings but that’s about it.
On Sunday I all of a sudden had a sore throat and that continued onto Monday in work where I had a fuzzy head and felt really exhausted, as well as achy neck. I coughed a tiny bit in work on Monday and have stayed off today. I think it’s a new virus that I’ve managed to pick up because my immune system must still be a bit down from the last one so I thought I’d take a day off to rest considering it’s been three weeks since I initially became ill and I must be really run down.
Today I’ve started coughing, not loads and not too chesty more like clearing my throat. It isn’t really bad like a chest infection but it is there. Other than that and the sore throat I feel much better today, don’t feel fuzzy or as tired. No fever or shortness of breath.
Should I count this as a new cough and self isolate even though I just finished coughing last week and it’s only slightly there, or should I go back to work tomorrow?

I think you should self isolate because as you have been unwell your resistance could be reduced and you could have picked up cv. Hopefully you will get better soon but spreading infection could have serious consequences for other people. So, be the good guy, and stay home and rest.

Yeah that’s my main train of thought. I am 99% sure I don’t have corona because my symptoms don’t match, but it’s more the fact that I’ve got a virus and could give that to someone at work who then might catch corona and become even more poorly with a stressed immune system.
Will I get SSP for self isolation? My employer doesn’t offer any sick pay :(
