There is so much emphasis on the fever and cough....but what about other symptoms? How do we know what we are facing?

I went to bed last night with chills.....not too bad but just couldn't get warm. Oke in the night boiling hot, but the second I took the covers off I had chills again.

Today I am achy. But not too bad.

I've had a slight cough for a week or two anyway after working in an office with a heater, and have felt out of breath for a little while, but I am pregnant.

Surely this isn't the dreaded CV??

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and working from home anyway (I'm a WAHM). Just have to do the school runs daily.

I am about 4 days in, started with a sore throat and intermittent high temperature that literally went from OK to super high and back again in space of hour. Keep taking your temperature.

My temp is only 36.1 so I'm pretty sure it's not CV. Maybe just picked up other germs from all the people out shopping?

I’m 90% sure I had Coronavirus at the end of feb.
Started off with a sore throat and when I phoned in sick to work I told them it was possibly tonsillitis. Sore throat didn’t last long. Then awful chills and temperature alternating. I ached all over and anything brushing against my skin felt uncomfortable. Felt like flu and I didn’t have the energy to answer the door when the doorbell rang.
Then a cough day and night continuously. To the point I bought tena lady for the first time ever!
My ribs and chest were sore from coughing so much. Then my chest was crackling and felt tight for a week after. Even now 3 weeks later my ribs/lung still feels tender in one section.
The chest crackles were the most scary. People sat next to me would comment on how they could hear them.

Two of my dc have had a cough for about 3 weeks plus cold and slight temp my DH has had flu like symptoms and a bit of a cough. I now have tonsillitis which I always end up with when DC and DH have a virus. I'm just not sure if they have had Corona and this is how it's presenting in me. Not sure whether to isolate or not 🤷

It is so difficult to call isn't it.

I feel absolutely fine today!

Two of my children didn't feel great this morning but still went to school as one has a GCSE music exam tomorrow, and I'm worried that if I keep them off, they won't be allowed back for 7 days, even though it may be an unrelated bug.

I think that there are SO many more people out and about at the moment that other bugs being spread are likely

Err on the side of caution because it's impossible to know. You may have just been through CV yourself and only suffered mild symptoms. If your children start having the cardinal symptoms, assume CV.

It's not confusing. It just means a lot of people wifi be self isolating even if they only have a cold. That's better than spreading CV.

Kids had colds at weekend and weren't usual selves. Me & Dh felt exhausted even though we didnt do anything, headache body chills, fever sore throat on n off. Constant headache makes no difference if I take paracetamol. Cough. Dh has all of this but full of cold too- rattle cough and sore chest.... were self isolating. Dobt know if coronavirus but defo a virus and feel horrible.

Does it seem that the key symptom is a fever???

I think so. My temperature was normal yesterday but up to 39.6 again today, am hoping that it comes down again. I don't know if a fluctuating temperature is a symptom or not though.
