I've been doing loads of reading and there does not seem to be any definitive research on whether cats and dogs can pass the virus onto other humans even if they are not ill themselves.
My 18 year old girl (cat) loves going out but I think I might keep her in just in case. I'm high risk as currently front line NHS so am self isolating when at home apart from the run into work and back and I'm ordering all my shopping online now.
She will go nuts in all day while I'm at work and for how long but I really don't feel I can take the risk of her infecting someone else if I get it.
I rang my vet but they just don't have any advice at the moment.
