Hello, I’m 17 weeks pregnant and work in Tesco, as you can imagine it’s brutal at the minute. Customers have been coming in with gloves and face mask on, one lady had been told to self isolate but her partner and son was at football so she had to come to the store to get essentials.. after overhearing her talking to her friend who she bumped into I asked the lady if she was ill she confirmed and I said shouldn’t you be at home resting? She laughed it off.. as it’s an express store I work on floor and tills.. after the new regulations yesterday it’s been said to self isolate of your a pregnant woman.. how many people are actually following these rules as I really can’t afford time off work however I’m so paranoid and I can’t be having any risk or complications in this pregnancy.. any advice will be so grateful! xx

Hi, I feel you. I am almost 17 weeks pregnant and work for the nhs and our hospital has tested positive for patients with covid .
Our work have said that unless you have the virus , or young children with it, we don’t get more than 7 days pay (self certify for one week), as it’s just ‘guidelines’ unfortunately . Otherwise I would be off but can’t afford to with a baby on the way :(

I’m so worried/paranoid, I have 3 young children already and I have strict routines when they leave the home and return. If I was in an office job or some sort id be more comfortable in going to work, but Tesco for goodness sake I can’t cope 😂 my manager is finding out information for me and we’re just both keeping each other updated.

Stay safe! 🥰🥰🥰
