I am still reeling over a conversation yesterday in the breakroom (I am now WFH)

In our company everyone can work from home, directors have been great, even agreed it’s fine if kids are there, work round it etc. Noone will loose a penny except if they have long period of sickness and no sick leave left. Again happy for people to WFH if sick.

Few of us in the lunch room talking about that we feel for people who cannot work if everywhere has to close, cafes etc , my partner also could not WFH.

Guy pipes up that people will have to manage and it’s their own fault if they can’t . He had to manage when he was made redundant and did this fine.

Hold on?!!! Redundancy is completely different to a world wide epidemic!

He also suggested they do things like become uber drivers? Who is using uber in a complete lock down???!! Are they going to the closed pub?

Bloody idiot.

Had to stay quiet as I am HR!
