To ask if a cough where phlegm is brought up is likely to be the virus

My youngest child has developed it obviously I will keep her off school. Is this likely to be the virus? Temperature is still normal. I’ve heard that it’s only a dry cough but obviously that may not be the case for all.

The advice here in Ireland is that it can be any sort of cough, not just dry. Hope it's just a normal cold!
