Do I need to get tested?

I've had a new, continuous cough for 8 days and it isn't getting any better.

Are they (health service) going to be interested in testing me? I'm wondering if I'll end up needing treatment.

If it’s manageable at home, that is where you’ll stay.
You’ll only get tested if it becomes unmanageable and you end up in hospital

Do you have a fever? If so get tested. If not I don't think so.

They said they are only testing those that need hospital treatment. As they say, most cases are mild.
