Hospital visits

I'll start by saying I of course understand the need to socially isolate and not go anywhere unnecessarily to prevent the spread of this.

However..

What happens when the disease spreads and family / loved ones start to get really ill and die from this, are we really expected to leave them to suffer and maybe die alone in hospital and not visit? Or can we visit if young and healthy?

I think the answer is not very pleasant. There won't be any visitors for CV patients, and horrifically they will die alone. Video calls may be possible.

The only people admitted will be the very sickest. The time to say goodbye is when they leave the house. It's utterly heartbreaking.

My son lives in the USA and his wife has been in hospital for the last 3. Months with serious health problems
Visiting was restricted but now no visits are allowed
The same with care homes in the USA
