Schools logistical nightmare

My DP started with a cough late Friday evening, no temperature. He felt out of sorts and has continued to cough on and off. We've kept away from each other. He's still coughing.

I have no symptoms and feel well. Went into work yesterday - I'm a primary school teacher. So Boris delivers his speech and I now have to stay at home for 14 days.

We also have a pregnant teacher who has to stay at home. That's 2 fulltime members of teaching staff out of 7. In one school.

How many other schools are facing this problem. We had 25 kids absent out of 200. I sent one child home when he started coughing.

We need to close the schools and colleges. It's going to put a great deal of strain on staffing.

I'm now planning work and sorting out packs of stuff for my class when/if school closures happen.

When do you think that they will shut?

I really don't know. I think once people start self isolating it will be inevitable.
