Are we meant to isolate?
Rainbowsoup · 17/03/2020 07:31
I had a temperature last Thursday and Friday so following the guidance then was self isolating for 7 days. My child did not have to. I had planned for my child to go to school today as she did yesterday. I am totally better now (have been since Saturday). As I’m still meant to be isolating until Friday am I now meant to extend this another two and include my child in this? Even though I’m totally better and she has no symptoms.
Or am I okay just staying in myself till Friday and her continuing to attend school?

From the new guidance she should isolate for 14 days to allow incubation period and symptoms to show. All members of your household should do this.

Even though neither of us have shown any symptoms since this guidance came out?
SinglePringle · 17/03/2020 07:44
Isolate. There are many people who have the virus with no symptoms but still able to spread it to others. You need to SI for 14 days (or rather, you child does. You are 7 days as you have already had symptoms).

As annoying disappointing as it is please make household stay home for full 14 days if we all don't listen this country is going to be on its knees
Extremely dark days are heading our way, stay home and keep your family safe - please x

Yes you should, but I'd say 14 days from your first symptom, not 14 days from the guidance changing.
