Should this be happening?

It’s to demo/try out the technology for pupils to be learning at home. It was arranged prior to the new social distancing advice of yesterday. It’s departmental so only 7 people.

I'm overseas so slightly different circumstances - we are closed to students, but still going in as staff for meetings & training - but anyone vulnerable has been told to stay away, & anyone who prefers to isolate at home (or get out of the country, frankly) has been advised there'll be no professional repercussions.

Seems sensible enough.

We have been told to do google hangout meetings

Thanks both. It will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings on the back of the new guidance. For example break times and lunch that are usually taken en masse...

I think given the agenda we might need to do the meeting in the same room as to trial technology whilst using a new meeting app might be a step too far.

To complicate things my son has been exposed to the virus but is showing no symptoms yet. I’ve let my head of department know.
