I want to get my hair done
I want to bring my mother out for lunch
I want to go to this concert
I want to go the gym
I want to go swimming

All I am hearing is I WANT.

I read something very true today. Your grandparents were asked to go fight in a world war. You’re being asked to sit on your fucking couch.

Why can you people not do this? stop going out to unnecessary social interactions. It’s not hard!!!

Yes it’s tough the Uk government are being morons and not closing schools/work but you have no excuse to keep attending UNNECESSARY social interactions. Just stop going. It will be up to the government to help out businesses. Your job is to social distance.

If you really care about helping businesses then buy a voucher to use down the line but I strongly suspect that this ‘support local’ is a ‘ i don’t want to stay home’ excuse

This picture shows how it works. You don’t go to the hairdressers, you step out of the line. The hairdresser gets covid-19. You’ve stopped it going any further.

This is why I'm annoyed at the bloody wishy-washy advice. You should avoid going to pubs etc. There are always going to be fuckers who think it doesn't apply to them. Which is why we're screwed.

Lockdown where I am. I want essential medical treatment for other conditions, but due to the terms of the lockdown I'm not allowed to have it. Totally fucking unreasonable of me, right?

But I’ve not been asked to sit on my fucking couch. I’ve been asked to work from home while looking after a two-year-old. For goodness knows how many weeks.

Meanwhile, my sister has been asked to cancel her wedding. But as the venue hasn’t been ordered to close, she’ll be expected to lose the £10,000 she’s paid. She’s very upset, as you can imagine.

Yes, everyone’s health is more important and we’ll have to suck it up. But it’s not always easy.

I'm sorry but I am totally pissed off at seeing those "you've been asked to sit on your couch".

My family is self-employed and we have lost a substantial amount of bookings and future income. I'm not sitting on my fucking couch, I am trying desperately hard to find bookings and thinking long and hard about where else I can advertise our services or else the rent is not going to get paid and where I am going to find the money to pay bills and eat. Mental health is currently more important to me than this virus because it can be just as deadly.

I am also not alone. There are literally thousands of people in our same predicament so OP, you can shove your saying up your...

^This. I can only assume that those saying this are comfortably off and don’t have to worry about keeping their businesses afloat, trying to find the money to pay bills, have caring responsibilities etc. So many fortunate people on MN live in their own privileged bubble and haven’t a fucking clue of other’s reality.
