My family is self-employed and we have lost a substantial amount of bookings and future income. I'm not sitting on my fucking couch, I am trying desperately hard to find bookings and thinking long and hard about where else I can advertise our services or else the rent is not going to get paid and where I am going to find the money to pay bills and eat. I can only assume that those saying this are comfortably off and don’t have to worry about keeping their businesses afloat, trying to find the money to pay bills, have caring responsibilities etc. So many fortunate people on MN live in their own privileged bubble and haven’t a fucking clue of other’s reality.
