Yes the government advice about social isolating and non essential travel applies to you!

The selfishness and stupidity of some people is astounding.

Honestly, why is it so difficult?

drippingwet · 16/03/2020 19:29

I’ll tell you why - stupid people!

Relatives have flown to Dubai today then going to Indonesia. They don't give a shit. Fecking eejits.

So many people are saying they can't stay at home or cancel things or whatever. Other countries are enforcing this.

I have no idea how businesses will manage though and vulnerable people who desperately need that income from working must be so anxious. DWP is going to be busy that's for sure.

It’s bloody terrifying. From my own perspective I’m a single parent with a stroppy teenager who won’t want to stay in. I work but don’t get paid sick pay and cannot work from home. I have a dog that needs waking. I have elderly relatives.
This is going to be so hard. But I’m going to do exactly what’s being asked of me. Teenager has been told they will be going to school only from today with no face to face socialising until further notice. All my social engagements from now on will be cancelled. I won’t be visiting friends or relatives and I won’t be travelling to see my partner (who lives over an hour away). And the dog will have to be happy with running round the garden which is luckily quite big and the dog is bloody lazy anyway.
Will I and the teenager like it? No. But we will bloody well do it.

I know someone going on holiday tomorrow still. I can't believe it

Surely you can walk the dog, just don’t go near anyone.
