We are now in isolation for 14 days due to my son having a temperature. I have a food shop coming tomorrow. They don’t provide bags anymore. Do I take the crates of the delivery driver? Do I get him to unload a weeks food shop on my door step?
Thompl16 · 16/03/2020 18:01
Our delivery driver left the crates on our doorstep and we took them inside while he waited for us to empty them.

I think most of the online deliveries are coming in bags just now.

Thank you. I don’t for a second think we have it. I think ds has a normal cold but I don’t want to risk anyone catching anything from us just in case.

If so you can write that you are self isolating in the delivery comments. The driver will then pack your shopping in bags and leave it on your doorstep. I had an email from them last week stating this.

You can put a note on your order details online . I have done this for all my orders.
I have said, thank you for delivering. Please transfer all items into the bags I have left in my porch.
We are self isolating at this time.
I've also stuck the same note to the front door in case it gets missed.

Tesco sent a message to me saying if you were self isolating out a note on your shop and the driver will put the shopping in to bags for you and leave it on your doorstep. He did it for us today and we didn’t have to sign for it either. We are self isolating because DH has a lung condition
