We have just heard that children have been passing away due to the virus.

I understand why we have not been told this before...as the risk is so low for children, but...

does this know change things for you? Or do you still feel the same and will act the same as before?

Heard from where? Did they have underlying ill health?

Whattheother2catsprefer · 16/03/2020 16:54

Told by who? Reliable news sources or gossip?

Lotuscup563 · 16/03/2020 16:54

From WHO on sky news.

We know nothing else other than children have passed away.

We know no ages, health conditions ect...I imagine we will find our over the next few days.

Where have you heard that ? I have read that there have been no deaths in small children or babies. A low number in the 10-19 age group, which of course includes young adults.

Fishlegs · 16/03/2020 16:55

I genuinely think this is fake news. Such info could not have been hidden within the medical community and I have not seen a whisper of this on Twitter.

ConstanceSalinger · 16/03/2020 16:56

But this IS scaremongering!!!

Why are you posting something deliberately to wind posters up.

ConstanceSalinger · 16/03/2020 16:56

Why on earth have you posted it here then?

To frighten people who are already anxious?

Slow clap.

Lotuscup563 · 16/03/2020 16:58

They have literally just said it on sky news, 20 seconds before Boris came on...not sure if sky news can be rewinded? But if you can it’s there.

This is not to scare anyone, I imagine the child rate is very very very low, but I did personally think it was a little strange that only 1 child had died in the whole world...being as children also have bad health conditions too, not just adults

WHO
"Once again, our key message is:
test,
test,
test.

This is a serious disease. Although the evidence we have suggests that those over 60 are at highest risk, young people, including children, have died"-
