Self Isolation Query

Stellaris22 · 16/03/2020 16:51

Apologies if this has been asked already.

Following cancelling a routine GP appointment as I have a cough, I've been told to self isolate.

Does this mean DH and DD need to self isolate too? We can sleep separately but is it just a case of minimising physical contact with each other?

Yes they also need to self isolate for 14 days.

Cockw0mble · 16/03/2020 17:02

Yes

dementedpixie · 16/03/2020 17:05

Its 7 days for a cough

dementedpixie · 16/03/2020 17:06

And I don't think they need to isolate unless they have symptoms too

BathshebasBane · 16/03/2020 17:07

They've just updated the guidance everyone on a household should self isolate if any member is showing symptoms

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 16/03/2020 17:07

Press release ongoing at present. The whole household is now required to self isolate for 14days if anyone is showing symptoms

LaPoesieEstDansLaRue · 16/03/2020 17:22

Updates guidelines as of now - yes whole household needs to isolate for 14 days - which makes sense.

AuntieStella · 16/03/2020 17:23

Press conference on now.

Looks like it's 14 days for the whole household - but better check NHS page later today when they have had a chance to update.

SinglePringle · 16/03/2020 17:24

Yes. 14 days for both of you.
