Probably a silly question....

Why do all other colds and upper respiratory type things cause sneezing and mucous yet coronavirus doesn’t?
Surely it’s the bodies first defence to sneeze it out or inactivate it with mucous ?
Does this mean our bodies are recognising it as early as other viruses of this type and why ?
Like I said prob a silly question

Well it’s a lower respiratory infection as opposed to upper. Influenza doesn’t always either. Nor tonsillitis, laryngitis, bronchitis...

The actual virus cells don't attach to the nose cells, they attach to the lungs cells so they cause different symptoms. It's not flu or the common cold it's a different type of virus.

Ah ok I see I was just wondering why it doesn’t cause sneezing and mucous
