Before I start, I completely understand the reason and I dont fault the decision of my medical centre to cancel these classes.

However as a first time mother I was looking forward to these classes not just for the information but meeting local mothers and maybe building up a little "mummy circle" of my own.
Also my husband was looking forward to the birthing class as a means to prepare himself for the birth.

So I am just feeling a little deflated as I am now going to have to rely on my own research for birth and breastfeeding. Which kinda sucks...😔

I'm trying not to be too upset/annoyed because it's a first world problem and after all. A lot of mothers around the world don't have these classes, heck! My own mother didnt have any classes in the 1980s and still gave birth. ( 5 times)

Any other mums had their classes cancelled?

If it helps....my class wasn’t at all useful and I’ve never seen any of the women again!

There’s lots of information online, you can learn everything you would have. In particular look at la Leche league for breastfeeding advice.

And you can join up to apps like mush, or look for Facebook groups called something like “your area” mums.

You will meet loads of mums once you start going to baby groups etc :)
