Thermometer woes

I have a long term health condition where it is important I keep an eye on my temperature. My blinking thermometer has chosen to conk out during a pandemic and I cannot get my hands on a decent thermometer for love nor money.

We’ve tried to fix it to no avail. :(

I don’t know why I’m posting, probably just to vent really. Although if anyone knows somewhere I get a Braun thermoscan from, I’d be really grateful or could please recommend another brand that’s in stock?

P.S. I know I should have a back up thermometer and I’ve learned the hard way.

I've just bought an old fashioned glass thermometer (non mercury) from ebay for about 6-7 quid as back up.

I also have a braun ear thermometer but I start to think it's not as reliable as the traditional one...
