Assume "total cases in your area" now refers to hospital not home

It seems to be that now cases are mainly being confirmed in hospitals, this is skewing the local authority figures. We sadly had a death of a local person on Saturday. It is still showing as 0 cases in our county. The person was at home until they ended up at the hospital in the nearest city, which is a different area.

If this is the case, many figures are likely to be incorrect, making the "check for cases in your area" sites such as BBC and the government website inaccurate.

I wonder how many others live in a LA without a large hospital, so will have skewed figures?
