Feeling like I need to panic buy

At first I didn't really see the point in it, thought people where going abit over the top but now the super markets are pretty much empty, I can't get a delivery shop for about 10 days and even then am I going to get what I put in my basket?

I have 2 young children (under 3) so I'm just concerned I'm not going to be able to get them anything decent to eat. ( Shops are literally bare). Iv even tried my local shop and I live in a little village and that was pretty much empty.

Has any one panic bought?

You would be better to start prep buying than panic buying. try iceland, they seem to have more delivery slots. get things to fill the freezer and cupboards, without going overboard. an example list for the freezer:

frozen veg
frozen fruit
eggs (how to freeze them here)
butter (wrap tightly in tin foil, salted butter keeps up to 1yr)
cheese (for cooking only, grate it first and then store it in an airtight plastic bag)
chicken
white fish (eg haddock or cod) fillets
mince
part baked bread

and cupboard:
soup
pasta
rice
tinned tomatoes
tinned tuna
tinned chickpeas (can bulk out meals with mince making the mince last longer)
oil
stock cubes
baked beans

amazon have things like toilet roll if iceland have run out

all the best
