Would you still keep your dental appt?

Yes

Lycidas · 16/03/2020 09:26

I had one on Friday and kept it. Better to sort the tooth out now before it becomes painful while I’m ill or in isolation.

Why not contact the dentist and ask them?? They are going to have the most up to date advice to follow.

moita · 16/03/2020 09:27

Yes but I need a filling!

corlan · 16/03/2020 09:30

Yes - got one tomorrow.
What are you concerned about?

BrokenBrit · 16/03/2020 09:31

Routine check - no.
Filling or emergency - yes.

Yes, your safer in a dental surgery than a supermarket. Just follow the advise re not touching your face etc whilst in the waiting room and try an keep the 2meter distance where possible. The dentist will have mask and gloves on so dentist and the nurse would be very low risk in infecting any of their patients.

I was at the dentist last week. They rang me the day before to ask if I’d been abroad (I had). In between patients they completely wiped down the whole chair and there was hand sanitizer in the waiting room.

Yes. I think the dental surgery has very, very strict guidelines on hygiene anyway, so probably a safe place to be.
